POSITION: Hot & Cold Line team members for Nosh NY Bagels (Opening March 2025)
LOCATION: Riverwalk Plaza, Rt 170 - Ridgeland SC
TYPE: Part Time & Full-Time (Closed in the evenings).
OVERVIEW
We are a trendy & modern bagel shop dedicated to providing authentic NY bagels and an exceptional guest experience. We’re looking for experienced and dedicated line cooks. We will be open 7 days a week from 6 or 7am until 3pm.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with morning ingredient preparation.
- Set up, maintain, and break down preparation stations.
- Cross-train and work all stations as needed
- Work as a team to ensure quick food prep, exceptional quality and service.
- Handle food and supplies responsibly, minimizing waste and ensuring all standards are met.
- Properly cover, label, date, and store all products.
- Mitigate waste and shortage, responsibly managing inventory
- Maintain a sparkling clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to DHEC sanitation and safety standards.
- Adhere to schedules and arrive on time, ready to work.
- Exhibit a positive attitude, show enthusiasm, and demonstrate humility, gratitude, and respect toward team members and guests.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a restaurant kitchen, preferably a quick-service or casual dining environment.
- Practical knowledge of preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch.
- Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Proficiency with commercial kitchen equipment, including grills, convection ovens, meat slicers, and kitchen tools.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Certification in food handling and safety is a plus.
