Job Overview
Family owned restaurant in old town Bluffton Promenade is seeking culinary team members with kitchen experience. We are a small team that respects and depends on each other. While our menu is pretty simple and straightforward, we use a grill and fryers. We look forward to welcoming the right team member to our kitchen community! Thank you for considering this position..
Day Shift is from 9am-4pm
Evening Shift is from 4pm-10pm.
We are open from tuesday-sunday.
Ideally you can work a fryer and/or flat-top grill, follow DHEC safety regulations, and be able to follow simple recipes. Our little restaurant centers on quality sourced ingredients for our made from scratch meals. One of the things that make our restaurant special is that our food culture centers around creativity, and omission of chemical additives, preservatives, artificial flavors and dyes.
Responsibilities
- Confidence on various kitchen stations - such as a fryer, flat top grill, and prep station
- Prepare and cook a variety of items: for example grilling sliders, frying appetizers and prepping sliders in accordance with the restaurant's menu and recipes (use of grills and fryers)
- Day shift must arrive by 9am to assist in the morning preparation of ingredients, including chopping, dicing, and mincing.
-Evening shift arrives by 3:45pm, we close at 9pm
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to DHEC sanitation and safety standards.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Handle food and supplies in a responsible and efficient manner, minimizing waste and ensuring that all food products meet the restaurant's quality standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that all dishes are presented with consistency and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Experience in the food industry
- Actively participate as a part of the team
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Dependability in arriving for your shift - we are a small team, last minute call outs and no shows affect us all.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time during your shift.
- Certification in food handling and safety is a plus!
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
