Entry-Level IT Specialist

Legion Technology is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry Level IT Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to kickstart their career in information technology. The successful candidate will provide essential IT support, ensuring that our systems run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for assisting users with technical issues, maintaining hardware, and contributing to a positive customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT support to end-users, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical problems via help desk tickets and direct communication.
• Maintain and configure computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Support users in navigating Mac OS and Office applications effectively.
• Utilize tools such as Jira for tracking issues and managing tasks.
• Implement basic firewall configurations to enhance network security.
• Document all support interactions in the remedy system for future reference.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure clarity in problem resolution.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on new technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of IT support principles and practices.
• Familiarity with Microsoft and Mac OS.
• Experience or knowledge of help desk operations is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• Understanding of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
• Knowledge of firewall configurations is desirable but not mandatory.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
