This position
This position tracks daily period-by-period attendance of students and provides continued coverage of the student health center by monitoring ill students until a parent / guardian arrives or student returns to class. This position may also be called upon to perform light office and organizational work for Co-Curricular program directors as needed.
Responsibilities :
- Track daily period-by period attendance of students and assist in the preparation of a variety of attendance reports
- Process and verify student absence information from teachers
- Make parent phone calls regarding student absences
- Maintain accurate daily attendance records for emergency purposes
- Manage the process for sign-in / sign-out records and issue tardy slips
- Monitor ill students until a parent / guardian arrives or student returns to class
- Administer first aid as needed for minor injuries. Take ill student's temperature when appropriate
- Ensure safe storage of student medication along with proper authorization forms
- Ensure all student emergency information is up to date
- Perform a variety of clerical work, procuring supplies and interfacing within and outside of department
