Basic Function
The Sponsorship/Collections Specialist is responsible for providing assistance to the Controller/Student Accounts Manager in the area of Collections and Sponsorships. The position is responsible for reviewing, processing and billing sponsors for all activity - current and past due. This position will be responsible for speaking with students and must be motivated, disciplined and responsible, with a firm commitment to customer service. The position should be highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Essential Functions
Knowledge: Knowledge of basic AR and AP systems and procedures. Associates or Bachelor's degree a plus.

Essential Functions
- Assisting in the daily processing of sponsor receivables, in regards to student and sponsor AR, sponsorship invoice processing and ensuring that payments are collected
- Prepare and analyze reports as needed for management
- Arranging for debt repayment or establishing repayment schedules in a way that works best with each consumer's financial situation
- Reconciling active accounts with Collection Agencies to GL Sub ledger.
- Managing the write-off process of student accounts as it relates to sponsorships and collection agencies.
- Account reconciliations and assist in creating and maintaining system business rules.
- Perform such similar, comparable, or related duties as may be required or assigned.
