Job Description
The Food Service Sales Representative will be responsible for growing Nounos’ market share in the foodservice channel, including but not limited to restaurants, hotels, cafeterias, and institutional accounts. This individual will develop relationships with key decision-makers, identify new business opportunities, and ensure excellent service to existing customers. We’re looking for someone who not only has strong sales skills, but is also an extrovert with a genuine passion for food and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new foodservice accounts such as restaurants, hotels, schools, hospitals, and corporate cafeterias.
- Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to market needs and regional opportunities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts to drive repeat business.
- Regularly communicate with clients to understand their product needs, negotiate pricing, and resolve issues.
- Monitor inventory levels, forecasts, and product usage to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
- Conduct product demonstrations, tastings, and presentations to potential and existing foodservice partners.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving market dynamics.
- Provide feedback to internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Product Development) regarding product improvements, market demands, and potential new offerings.
- Meet or exceed designated sales targets, revenue goals, and activity metrics.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline updates using the company’s CRM system.
- Analyze weekly and monthly sales reports to gauge performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Partner with marketing teams on promotional materials, sales collateral, and event initiatives.
- Work closely with distribution and logistics teams to optimize product availability, order fulfillment, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within the foodservice or hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with yogurt or dairy product lines, and an understanding of foodservice distribution channels.
- Ability to build rapport quickly with diverse clients and communicate the value proposition effectively.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
- Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed for client meetings and industry events.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
