About the job


The Maintenance Supervisor is directly responsible for the daily functions of the maintenance workforce. They will manage maintenance activities in a cost-effective manner while continuously driving process improvements to increase maintenance effectiveness and efficiency.
In your future role as a Maintenance Supervisor you will

• Ensure that technicians comply to all safety rules, assuring maintenance personnel are aware of and employing safe working practices and promoting safety programs and behaviors.
• Follow-up on performance scorecards and complete quarterly performance assessments on all core maintenance technicians
• Develop and oversee audit processes, including a “wrench time” sampling process.
• Analyze data to identify top wrench time barriers and create action plans to eliminate
• Ensure work done is according to agree upon scope, time, and quality.
• Ensure worked hours, work order confirmations and other cost are registered in CMMS system.
• Ensure work order packets and associated documentation are fully filled out and completed.
• Manage deviations (scope, quality, time, worked hours/cost)
• Understand and help implement the site’s Operating Policy, and HSSE goals and objectives.
• Support and participate in on-going HSSE improvement activities and committees.
• Be aware of potential health, safety, security, and environmental impacts in area of responsibility and the consequences if an upset occurs.
• Understand and implement any parts of the Environmental Compliance Plan and Waste Management Plan that apply to area of responsibility.
• Participate in the site’s on-going Pollution Prevention Process
• Be fully aware of your specific quality assurance responsibilities.
• Be familiar with sitewide document control, internal quality audits, corrective action, nonconforming product, and record keeping procedures.
• Be sure employees under supervision, if applicable, are aware of and are adequately trained in quality procedures.
• Other duties and assignments as directed by the Maintenance Manager

We believe you will bring

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• 5 years of maintenance within plant operator or technical field
• 5-7 years of supervisor experience in a plant setting
• Must be able to wear a respirator if needed
• Must be able to be “On Call” and respond within 2 hours

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Maintenance Manager at the Salisbury, NC. site.
