NOVA seeking a Part-time Electrical Engineer to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL for 10-15 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with specific expertise in electrical infrared inspections. This role requires a professional who holds a Level II Certified Thermographer (Electrical Applications) certification and a State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license. Experience with 40-year inspections for re-certifications is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical infrared inspections to identify potential issues and ensure system reliability.
- Perform 40-year inspections for re-certifications, ensuring compliance with state regulations and safety standards.
- Analyze and interpret infrared thermography data to diagnose electrical system problems.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of inspection findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with other engineers and technical staff to develop and implement solutions for identified issues.
- Stay updated with industry standards, codes, and best practices related to electrical engineering and infrared thermography.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Level II Certified Thermographer - Electrical Applications
- State of Florida Professional Engineer license (Electrical discipline) is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on electrical infrared inspections.
- Proven experience with 40-year inspections for re-certifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Experience using infrared thermography equipment and software.
- Knowledge of state and local electrical codes and regulations.
Work Schedule:
