Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including group homes and home health environments. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide personal care while respecting resident rights and promoting independence.
- Lift and transfer individuals safely using proper techniques to prevent injury.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support residents in participating in recreational activities and social events.
- Document care provided and report any changes in resident conditions to nursing staff or supervisors.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans that meet the needs of each resident.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards in all caregiving practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in long-term care settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care principles, including basic nursing skills, is a plus.
- Ability to lift and support individuals as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Compassionate attitude towards residents, demonstrating patience and understanding at all times.
- Familiarity with resident rights and the importance of maintaining confidentiality in caregiving practices.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is desirable but not mandatory.
