Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance, including those with autism and developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care, companionship, and support in daily activities. This position requires a strong commitment to resident rights and the ability to monitor patients effectively.
Shift: 10:30am - 7pm
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs within the home and community.
- Support individuals with autism and developmental disabilities through engaging activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Foster positive relationships with clients while respecting their dignity and rights as residents.
- Document care provided and any significant changes in client behavior or condition.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with senior care practices and patient monitoring techniques is advantageous.
- Knowledge of meal preparation for special dietary requirements is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Certification in first aid or CPR is desirable but can be obtained after hiring.
