We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a variety of settings, including senior care facilities and Level II Trauma Centers. As an LPN, you will be responsible for assisting with patient assessments, administering medications, and ensuring adherence to healthcare standards. Your expertise in patient care will play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist in physical examinations and document patient health information accurately.
- Perform venipuncture and other necessary procedures such as gastric lavage as required.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards and protocols, ensuring a safe environment for patients.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth for documentation and communication.
- Support patients and their families by providing education on health management and wellness.
Requirements
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Knowledge of senior care practices and experience working with elderly patients is preferred.
- Proficiency in performing vital signs assessments and basic medical procedures.
- Familiarity with sonography techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
