Overall Description Summary
The Support Services Coordinator is responsible for the overall successful daily services for the Child Support Enforcement Employment and Training (CSE, E&T) for Ouachita and Morehouse Parishes by providing directly or indirectly Educational /Training Support / Supportive Services to assist individuals with the skills necessary to pursue and secure sustainable living wage employment.
Specific Duties/Responsibilities
Teaches Career Readiness (Essential Skills) to Participant
Contacts and Recruits Employers
Matches skills with Employers needs and refers for interviews
Directly or Indirectly places individuals in Employment
Develop and maintain regular contact with training and educational institutions, faith based and community- based organizations and public organizations/officials and community leaders.
Recruit potential candidates for Program
Presents the NOVA Program to interested individuals in CSE E&T
Attends Court on a regular basis or as needed, and provides information to interested CSE Participants
Screen, counsels and assist with determining eligibility and enrollment of clients
Counsels and access Participant’s needs and matches skills to Employer’s needs to ensure successful referral/interview/employment or training opportunity
Meets and follows- up with Participants on a regular basis
Assist Participant in Navigating with needed services, challenges and opportunities through the process from enrollment to completion of desired career path
Counsels with Participants on a regular basis to ensure participants are on track with accomplishing agreed upon outcomes
Provides weekly/monthly progress reports to Deputy Director & Director,
Programs/Participant Services and Executive Director
Provides CST E&T Program with the paperwork, reports as requested
Responsible for maintaining files on all Participants of the Program
Attends and participates in weekly/monthly staff meetings
Attends CSE Meetings and Conferences as requested
All other related duties as deemed necessary by Deputy Director & Director, Programs/Participant Services or Executive Director

Salary: Negotiable, Depending on Experience
