The Role:
- We are looking for candidates across the United States with varying degrees of experience.
- We are seeking highly motivated and results-driven Account Executives to join our sales organization. As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our existing client base and potential customers, analyzing their business needs, and positioning our AWS and other technology solutions that fit the client's specific requirements.
- Nova is an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner, a certified MuleSoft System Integrator Partner, a Salesforce Commerce Cloud Consulting Partner, a Mongo DB Partner, and a member of the Datadog Partner Network. We have a robust team of AWS-certified professionals ready to deliver the right set of cloud technology solutions for our clients.
- Within the Sales team, you will report to the VP of Growth.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and target prospective clients who can benefit from AWS, MuleSoft, Datadog, and Salesforce software solutions, including both existing customers looking to expand their services and new business opportunities.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets, focusing on maximizing revenue and market share within the designated territory.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at client organizations to understand their business challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
- Solution Consultation: Work collaboratively with technical and sales teams to provide expert consultation on our offerings, understanding customer needs, and tailoring the best-fit solutions to address those needs effectively.
- Proposal Preparation: Create comprehensive and compelling proposals, including cost estimates, timelines, and technical information, ensuring alignment with the client's objectives and budget.
- Negotiation and Contract Closure: Lead negotiation efforts to secure contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes for both parties.
- Market Insights: Stay updated on industry trends, AWS/MuleSoft/Datadog/Salesforce product updates, and competitor activities to proactively identify opportunities and potential risks within the market.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline by tracking and updating sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Sales Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, and sales support, to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Performance Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, performance metrics, and revenue projections to the management team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in B2B technology sales, preferably with experience selling AWS or cloud-based solutions.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- An understanding of AWS services and solutions, as well as a general understanding of cloud and related technologies is a plus.
- A self-starter with a proactive and results-oriented approach to sales.
- Passionate about technology, cloud computing, and staying informed about industry trends.
- Willingness to travel to client meetings and industry events as needed.
- Recent college grads with a technical background and a strong network in technology circles, who possess a desire to learn the IT/cloud services industry are encouraged to apply.
Compensation:
- This is primarily a commission based position with the potential for an above market commission structure and other incentive compensation based upon a candidates experience and track record.
