Novacoast Staffing is working with a leading real estate company in their search for an experienced Information Security Manager. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Cayman Islands. The successful candidate must be open to relocating, and the company will provide a relocation package along with a full work permit sponsorship for the Cayman Islands.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong passion for information security and the ability to confidently manage information security standards and frameworks. The selected candidate will oversee a small security team and play a critical role in ensuring the organization's security posture remains strong and aligned with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's information security policies, standards, and frameworks.
- Serve as the lead authority for all information security initiatives, ensuring the organization's security posture aligns with industry regulations and best practices.
- Manage a small security team, providing mentorship, guidance, and leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and implement corrective actions to enhance security resilience.
- Oversee incident response planning and ensure appropriate actions during security incidents or breaches.
- Drive the adoption of security frameworks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and organizational standards.
- Ensure employees are trained on security best practices and implement company-wide initiatives to raise security awareness.
- Report to senior leadership, providing clear updates on security risks, incidents, and strategy improvements.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in Information Security Management, with a proven track record of successfully implementing security frameworks.
- Strong understanding of security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS Controls.
- Experience managing risk assessments, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small security team with effective communication and mentorship skills.
- Ability to stand firm when ensuring security compliance, even when facing opposition.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with executives, technical teams, and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in real estate, hospitality, or similarly dynamic industries.
- Relevant certifications include CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor.
- Experience working in international environments or for companies with global operations.
- Familiarity with cloud security solutions, particularly in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
