Job Summary

The EMT provides high quality patient care and safe medical transport to sick and injured patients in all age groups, primarily in a non-emergent setting. Patient care will be consistent with approved treatment protocols. The EMT communicates and coordinates the patient’s care in an interdisciplinary model.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Successful completion of an approved EMT program.
• Licensure / Certifications: Current North Carolina EMT certification. BCLS required. ACLS, PALS and ITLS or PHTLS preferred. Current and valid driver’s license required and must meet the requirements of the medical center’s insurance carrier. Must meet general hospital driving requirements. Annual EVO education is required to drive during emergency situations.
  
  

Experience: Minimum of one-year experience with a paid emergency services provider preferred. Two years licensed driving experience required.
