Skills in airway management, medication administration, ABGs, O2 therapy, suction, pulmonary toileting, bronchoscopes, nebulizer, BiPAP, CPAP.Job Description : - Work in a respiratory department in a community hospital, providing care for all patient populations.- Areas of work include the Emergency Department, Critical Care ICU, and med / surgical floors.- Perform therapies and tests such as arterial blood gases, ventilator / NIV management, nebulizer treatments, and other therapies within the scope of a Respiratory Therapist.- Use EPIC for unit systems.- Participate in a 24-hour unit orientation.- Wear black scrubs during shifts.- Be prepared for on-call and floating requirements as needed, including floating to other units or affiliate hospitals nearby based on skills and census.- Complete all required modules pre-start and annually, as recorded via online learning, Zoom, webinar, and in-person classes.Important Note : RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could potentially result in a cancellation and DNR status. Travelers cannot work more than five days in a row and / or more than 60 hours in a week due to fatigue policy.
