Job Summary
Implements marketing and growth strategy in assigned territory according to hospice service line goals. Evaluates and identifies key referral sources, providing ongoing marketing efforts to increase their use of Novant Health Hospice services. Educates the community, referral sources, patients and families on hospice services through daily, planned activities including in-services, one-on-one presentations and group meetings. Assist in development of marketing materials and other communication activities as assigned. Monitors referral integrity and results of marketing efforts. Works closely with the Manager, Hospice Business Development to organize and facilitate ongoing development efforts in territory, providing on-site support at events, as well as marketing for any/all fundraising opportunities. Establishes a collaborative working relationship with the Regional Coordinator for Hospice Volunteers and Program Development, to identify community activities and promote hospice/volunteer program opportunities.

- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Business Administration or related field, required.
- Experience: Four years minimum four years of healthcare marketing experience, required.
- Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license, required.
- Additional Skills (required): Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills. Must be comfortable with public speaking, in both large and small settings. Knowledge of healthcare industry, ability to identify local trends and opportunities. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently; detail-oriented; self-motivated. Must have the ability to exercise good judgement in stressful situations with thoughtfulness and diplomacy. Must have the ability to successfully collaborate with teams, groups and committees; prioritize, organized and interact effectively with diverse individuals in all levels of authority. Knowledge of computers with Windows skills and Excel spreadsheets. Must have reliable transportation to and from all work-related assignments. Must be available to work outside of normal business hours for networking and/or business development events and fundraising activities. Hours may include evening and weekend work. Work routine involves physical endurance and mobility, i.e. reaching, pushing, pulling, bending and stooping; light to medium lifting and long periods of sitting and/or standing. Work environment involves deadlines and aggressive timelines for work performance. Must be able to maintain composure under pressure while meeting deadlines. Must be flexible in work environment, as schedule may consist of many hours in vehicle while on marketing visits. Ability to drive/travel to multiple locations/facilities as needed.
