2021 is an exciting year for Novartis as we accelerate our growth in the digital space! The Next Generation Engagement Academy Global Lead will design, implement and run critical components of the ‘Next Generation Engagement Academy’ in close partnership with Global functional excellence, capabilities and learning teams to measurably enhance and scale digital marketing and engagement capability across Novartis, with emphasis on supporting our key launches.

As Next Generation Engagement Academy Global Lead, you will create, own and lead the strategy, implementation, and operations for Capability Building for the cross-Novartis scope of Next Generation Engagement (NGE), working closely with Global, Regional and Divisional stakeholders, functional excellence, capabilities and learning teams to partner on developing, deploying, and maintaining industry-leading skills; across the domains of Digital content development, Digital marketing and customer engagement.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Accountable for the successful design, deployment, adoption and measurable impact of Academy skills programs across Divisions, and countries/markets, utilising existing channels or divisional upskilling programs where appropriate.
• An internal and externally recognized thought leader in digital content development, marketing and customer engagement skills, influencing the strategy and ongoing decision-making amongst senior (ECN-2) level executives across Novartis.
• Collaborate, co-create and implement frameworks, capabilities with key stakeholders in Global and key Country Brand Teams/Franchises, and Marketing and Commercial Excellence teams globally, and in key countries/regions. Assess and leverage new and existing capabilities programs for global reach and scale.
• Expand Novartis’ external reputation and recognition in being a leading organization in digital content development, marketing and customer engagement capability building, through active engagement in industry forums, external media, and other appropriate forums.
• Create, and chair, senior executive cross-divisional review/governance boards, to drive the NGE skills agenda, and adoption of the NGE Academy program(s).
• Partner and strong collaboration with senior leaders across multiple organizational divisions, to drive both the engagement, and adoption of the NGE marketing skills program(s) from the Academy.’ Also to partner with and be responsible for the NGE aspects of ‘Marketer of the future’, and other similar initiatives across other functional areas to be further defined. Ensure clarity with divisional excellence teams on split of scope for non-NGE related skills and knowledge.
• Recruit, and lead agile working teams, spanning direct, and indirect reports in a collaborative effort to deliver skill building for NGE
• Lead a skills and capability analysis, and global content audit to identify and drive a strategic curate/assemble/buy/build model in close partnership with functional excellence, capabilities and division learning teams
• Lead the design and delivery of Academy skill pathways blending original content, curation, and industry partnering
• Lead the design and global implementation of accreditation program to measure and demonstrate skill acquisition, behavior change, and application of skills.
• Lead a collaborative partnership with Divisional Heads of Learning and their teams, to support them in their deployment and scaling of Academy solutions.
