The Content Strategist will be responsible for providing the strategic approach around the content deliverables aligned to a specific brand's marketing priorities and objectives. The content strategist will also review and provide direction on all content plans and core content assets ensuring both strategic alignment and audience-first, quality content standards.
This position reports directly to the Head of Content Lab and will collaborate closely with the Editorial Planning Lead and Production Strategy and Operations Lead to provide specialty services to US Pharma and Oncology brands, driving key content projects and new initiatives, implementing, and continuously improving content.
The Lead will identify new content needs to effectively engage and drive behavior change across HCPs and patients and identify and test solutions that will enable the growth and adoption of a more advanced content capability across Novartis. Our vision is to transform customer facing personal engagement models by delivering the right tactic, most relevant content, at the right timing, to the right customer, across channels, devices, and geographies. This role will serve as the day-to-day contact for Marketing Leads and Integrated Experience Planners, who identify content and information gaps that need solutioning.

Pay Rate: $89.90 - $120/hour

Major Accountabilities
- Design content strategy inclusive of the role of content, themes and topics for the deliverables that support our Integrated Product Strategy Teams and brands.
- Serve as Day-to-day contact for IMST leads.
- Partner with Editorial Planning, Production Operations, and agency partners to contribute to briefing for brand content programs ripe for storytelling and atomization.
- Ensure content strategy is aligned with program KPIs, as well as Content Lab benchmarks for quality and efficiency.
- Partner with Editorial Planning and Operations Leads on specific resourcing needs for the IMST programming, including budgets, agency, and teams.
- Ensure Content Lab best practices are implemented across IPST content programming. This includes conducting your own critical review of content and managing the review by other Content Lab members.
- Support cross-functional partners in determining content requirements for personalization, creating experience maps to brief partners, and reviewing and validating content/messaging options.
- Work within Ethics, Risk and Compliance policies and procedures and ensure those around him/her do the same.
- Work to ensure a diverse and inclusive environment free from all forms of discrimination and harassment.
- User satisfaction and adoption.
- Timeliness of solutions identification and implementation.
- Effectiveness and impact of content solution(s) in achieving desired impact.
- Number of solutions identified and implemented to drive improved personalization of content.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in content strategy and solutioning, with experience in Pharmaceutical or Healthcare or within an agency/creative shop preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in stakeholder management.
- Experience launching a new innovative digital content solution.
- Experience in leading multiple, key projects and initiatives on time, on track, and on budget.
- Experience providing feedback regarding both strategic alignment and creative execution to creative teams.
- Understanding of wellness, health & lifestyle coverage.
- The ability to manage cross-functional marketing and technology teams, advocate for customer experience management, and collaborate across the organization to create integrated solutions.
- Experience defining and delivering new content approaches.
- Experience in implementing content to change behavior and drive improved engagement.
- Understanding of regulatory, compliance privacy and legal guardrails and policies.
