Novaspect, Inc., an Emerson Impact Partner, the global leader of automation systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for a Panel Shop Internship. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with control panel assembly.
Panel Shop Intern Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read electrical schematic, sub-panel layout drawings, other instructions and identify parts to assemble and test electrical panels
- Perform the hands-on physical tasks involved in panel assembly
- Complete point to point wiring and install a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical components
- Construct, maintain, and test equipment and components
Requirements
Panel Shop Intern Education and/or Experience:
- Currently pursuing an Associate’s Degree in an electrical or instrument related field
- Previous mechanical or electrical experience and open to part time, temporary work
Panel Shop Additional Requirements:
- Ability to learn and apply hand and power tools
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and conscientious nature
- Ability to maintain positive work relationships with co-workers
Panel Shop Intern Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
- Ability to work with up to 120 VAC
- Ability to stand, stoop, reach and bend
- Ability of hands to grasp and manipulate small objects
Panel Shop Intern Pay:
- Hourly Rate: $18.50 - $19.50
