Job Summary:

As an Onsite Project Engineer, you will deliver technical expertise and play a vital role in designing, implementing, and maintaining SCADA/Automation systems directly with our customer. You will collaborate with our client to create efficient, secure, and intuitive solutions for monitoring and controlling their operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and maintain SCADA systems to monitor and control customer processes
• Develop Human Machine Interface (HMI) applications for effective system visualization
• Integrate SCADA systems with field devices like PLCs, RTUs, sensors, and actuators
• Configure and manage communication protocols, including Modbus, DNP3, and OPC
• Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
• Implement cybersecurity measures to safeguard SCADA systems
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including system configurations and manuals
• Provide training and technical support to end-users and maintenance teams
• Participate in system upgrades, expansions, and modernization projects
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
  
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in SCADA system design, implementation, and maintenance
• Proficiency in SCADA software platforms (Wonderware, Ignition, GE iFIX, etc.)
• Familiarity with networking technologies (Ethernet, TCP/IP, and wireless protocols)
• Experience with substation RTUs, IO devices, and IEDs
• Strong knowledge of industrial protocols like MODBUS and DNP
• Programming or scripting experience (VB6, VBA, SQL, Python) is highly desirable
• Basic experience with relay programming (e.g., SEL, ABB, Basler)
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven
  
  

Preferred Skills:

• Utility industry experience (1-3 years) with SCADA projects
• Experience managing communication protocols and troubleshooting hardware
• Familiarity with ICCP and HMI/SCADA Master systems
• Project management skills, including scoping, scheduling, and tracking
