What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025-2026 Dual Language Immersion: Spanish, TK Teacher position at Novato Unified School District?
Novato Unified School District is excited to find a bilingual/bicultural educator with a passion for Early Childhood Education, to teach Transitional Kindergarten (TK) for our Dual Language Immersion Program at Lynwood Elementary School. The ideal applicants would be coming to us with a preliminary or clear California Credential with an authorization to teach English Learners, Bilingual Instruction Authorization in Spanish, and meets the CTC Requirements for an assignment in TK. NUSD welcomes aspiring educators in the process of obtaining appropriate credentialing that would qualify for emergency permits.

Many of our NUSD parents attended Novato schools themselves. Our community is known for its more than 3,600 acres of open space, which includes a number of popular hiking and biking trails. Novato Unified School District (NUSD) has approximately 800 staff members who, along with the larger school community, are responsible for the education of 7,400 students. We have eight elementary schools, including one dual-language immersion, one TK-8 school, two middle schools, and two comprehensive high schools. NUSD also has an Alternative Education Center housing a continuation school and an independent study student program serving grades K-12. All schools within Novato Unified offer special education services, along with Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), and special assistance is provided for all English learner students.
