Dual Language Immersion: Spanish, Middle School Teacher

Novato Unified School District is excited to find a bilingual/bicultural educator with a passion for teaching in Spanish for our Middle School Dual Language Immersion Program. The ideal applicants would be coming to us with a preliminary or clear California Credential with an authorization to teach English Learners. NUSD welcomes aspiring educators in the process of obtaining appropriate credentialing that would qualify for emergency permits. Dependent on applicant pool this position may include teaching core subjects (Social Studies, Math, Science, English/Spanish) in Spanish and teaching Spanish Language Arts. Novato is a suburb located in north Marin County, with a population of approximately 53,000. We are a close-knit community, with a number of our population being lifelong citizens. Many of our NUSD parents attended Novato schools themselves. Our community is known for its more than 3,600 acres of open space, which includes a number of popular hiking and biking trails. We have eight elementary schools, including one dual-language immersion, one TK-8 school, two middle schools, and two comprehensive high schools. All schools within Novato Unified offer special education services, along with Gifted and Talented Education (GATE), and special assistance is provided for all English learner students.
