What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Novato Veterinary Hospital?
Novato Veterinary Hospital, formally known as Animal Kind Veterinary Hospital, is looking to grow our front desk staff by adding amazing receptionists with exceptional customer service skills.

-Multi-task and perform under pressure with a sense of urgency

-Familiar with navigating electronic scheduling and filing systems, must have basic computer and tech skills
-Basic knowledge about pets is preferred, but not required
Responsibilities will include:
- Front-line client communication via telephone, email or in-person
- Scheduling appointments and taking messages on behalf of hospital staff
- Filtering and prioritizing urgent and non-urgent calls
- Entering and maintaining client and patient information
- Closing invoices and collecting payment from clients, basic cash handling
- Handling prescription requests for approval by vet
- General cleaning and tidying of front desk and lobby area
