Responsibilities:
Policy Development: Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and minimize risk.
Internal Controls: Implement and monitor a system of controls over accounting transactions to safeguard company assets and improve accuracy.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the production of periodic financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP or international financial reporting standards.
Performance Metrics: Recommend and monitor benchmarks to evaluate the company’s financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop the annual budget and forecasts, reporting significant variances to management with actionable insights.
Financial Analysis: Provide detailed financial analysis on capital investments, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations to support decision-making.
Audit Management: Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and information for the annual audit.
Regulatory Compliance: File quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Ad Hoc Projects: Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support organizational goals and financial initiatives.
