Vice President Operations (Steel)

Job Title: Vice President of Operations – Southeast Region

Location: Orlando, FL

Salary: $180k - $220k bonus

The Role:

As the Vice President of Operations, you will oversee day-to-day operations for multiple steel locations across the Southeast. You will ensure each location meets strategic goals, drives efficiency, and achieves profitability. This role requires a results-driven leader with a strong steel industry background and exceptional operational expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and review performance goals, implementing action plans to drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee workflow schedules, ensuring operational efficiency and goal attainment.
• Manage budgets, evaluate KPIs, and identify opportunities to boost profitability.
• Lead hiring, training, and talent development for managers and future leaders.
• Evaluate market trends and collaborate with Business Development to pursue growth opportunities.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and quality standards (AISC, AWS, OSHA).
• Build and maintain relationships with partners, contractors, and vendors.
• Mitigate risks and ensure organizational resilience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 10-15 years of leadership experience with P&L responsibility, preferably in steel or manufacturing.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of AISC, AWS standards, and crane operations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
