Position Overview:
The High School Registrar is responsible for maintaining student academic records, managing the student enrollment process, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, faculty, and administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Enrollment and Registration:
Oversee the enrollment process for new and returning students, ensuring all necessary documentation is received and processed.
Maintain accurate student records, including personal information, grades, attendance, and transcripts.
Coordinate the scheduling of classes and manage student course requests.
Academic Record Management:
Maintain and update student transcripts, grades, and academic progress reports.
Ensure proper data entry and record-keeping for compliance with state and federal regulations.
Provide academic records and transcripts to students, parents, and other educational institutions upon request.
Reporting and Compliance:
Generate and submit reports related to enrollment, graduation, and other regulatory requirements.
Ensure adherence to state and federal guidelines regarding student data privacy and confidentiality.
Assist in the preparation for accreditation reviews and audits.
Communication and Support:
Communicate with parents, students, and staff regarding enrollment, scheduling, and academic records.
Provide guidance and assistance to students and families navigating the enrollment process or seeking information about academic records.
Collaborate with faculty and administration to ensure accurate reporting of student performance and attendance.
Other Duties:
Assist with graduation preparations, including verifying student eligibility and issuing diplomas.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational policies and registration technologies.
Perform other administrative tasks as required by the school administration.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Preferably a graduate of a U.S. high school and college.
Experience:
- Preferably has education industry work experience.
- Familiarity with student information systems and office software (e.g., Google Suite, Microsoft Office).
