Process Improvement and Data Management Intern

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Novelis North America is seeking a Process Improvement and Data Mangement Intern o n the Beverage Packaging team at our Atlanta, GA global HQ's! The ideal candidate will be responsible for documenting and identifying opportunities for improving the processes within the Beverage Packaging team . Additionally, the Intern will be expected to improve the data management approach for the Beverage Packaging Value Stream.

The intern will learn the aluminum business hands-on within in Novelis’ largest business unit with direct exposure to its leadership team .

Responsibilities

• Document day-to-day processes by collaborating with team members to understand how they operate and identify best-practices across individuals .
• Identify , with the support of team leads, opportunities to improve processes .
• Catalog processes to support onboarding of new team members and continuous improvement of existing teams members .
• Define and algin a data management strategy utilizing the various resources (MS Teams, Sharepoint , etc ) offered within the organization; including access control.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Enrolled in an graduate program at a accredited University, GPA 3.5  
• Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills which are essential for interacting with all levels of the organization
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer
• Safety focus mentality  
• Teamwork focused
• Familiar with MS Office suite  
• Basic knowledge of data analytics, database management, and process management  
• Ability to learn, research, and absorb information
  
  

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Engineering or Business major  with a focus on processes
