Job Summary:
The Human Resources – Business Office Coordinator is a dual role involving full spectrum human resources and office coordinator responsibilities of Novi Surgery Center. This role is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level in the following HR functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment / employment, and employment law compliance. The office coordinator component of this position is responsible for overall front office activities, assisting IT, large purchasing requests and facilities and management of the facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefit information to employees.
Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of employee handbook and personnel policies and procedures, in conjunction with senior management.
Conducts recruitment efforts; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-pathing program.
Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
Supervises the maintenance of office equipment, including copier, fax machine, etc.
Responsible for the facilities day-to-day operations (such as distributing building access keys and back-up to security access cards, etc.)
Supervises and coordinates overall administrative and office activities.
Supervises the maintenance and alteration of office areas and equipment, as well as layout, arrangement, and housekeeping of office facilities.
Assign tasks and ensure all staff positions are covered for the duration of shift.
Field complaints and address visitor concerns.
Answer phone inquiries, direct calls and provide basic information.
Oversee and manage front office staff, schedulers, and receptionist.
Address complaints and requests with quality customer service skills.
Monitor front desk and ensure all employees comply with all security procedures for visitors.
Oversee mail deliveries, packages, and couriers.
Purchase, track, and invoice office supplies.
Create, organize, and maintain schedules for all front office employees.
Ensure front desk is covered at all times.
Responsible for processing initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications, screening practitioners' applications and supporting documentation to ascertain their eligibility, identifying discrepancies in information, and conducting follow-ups.
Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, procedures, and policies.
Participates as needed in special department projects.
Professional /Regulatory Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
At least Two year of human resource experience preferred.
Language Skills:
Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Other Skills:

Excellent leadership, management, and team building skills.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
