Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Windows 11 Build Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Windows 11 operating system images and deployment solutions. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth rollout and maintenance of Windows 11 across our organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Development: Develop and maintain customized Windows 11 images tailored to the organization’s needs. Ensure compatibility with existing software and hardware.
Deployment: Implement and manage Windows 11 deployment strategies using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
Testing and Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing of Windows 11 builds, including application compatibility testing, to ensure a stable and secure operating system environment.
Automation: Develop automated scripts and processes to streamline the build and deployment of Windows 11. Utilize PowerShell and other scripting languages to enhance automation.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of build procedures, deployment processes, and configuration settings.
Support and Troubleshooting: Provide third-level support for Windows 11 issues. Troubleshoot and resolve complex OS-related problems.
Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, including network, security, and application teams, to ensure seamless integration and operation of Windows 11 within the IT infrastructure.
Security: Ensure that Windows 11 builds and deployments meet the organization’s security policies and standards. Implement security patches and updates promptly.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building and deploying Windows operating systems, with a focus on Windows 10/11.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows 11 architecture, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Windows Deployment Services (WDS), Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), and PowerShell scripting.
Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex OS-related issues.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise documentation.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
