This is a hybrid position with three days in the office (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays) in Walnut Creek, CA.
Position Overview :
The Associate Development Manager will be involved in all aspects of the initial feasibility, underwriting, and analysis process for new development projects, including affordable, mixed-use, and market-rate properties. The role requires a strong aptitude for financial analysis, particularly in Excel, as well as a desire to learn and grow within the real estate development field. The Associate will play a key role in supporting brokerage, acquisitions, proforma analysis, and land use research. Additionally, this position will provide valuable experience in managing complex projects and collaborating with a cross-functional team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Development & Financial Analysis.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of proformas for affordable and market-rate developments.
- Complete land and building sale comparable analysis to evaluate market opportunities.
- Conduct zoning and land use analysis to determine site feasibility and potential development constraints.
- Conduct market research, compiling quarterly sub-market snapshot reports on rent, vacancy, and market trends.
- Track and respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposals), NOFAs (Notices of Funding Availability), and other opportunities.
- Assist in the preparation of Letters of Intent (LOIs), Purchase Agreements, and Option Agreements for acquisitions.
- Provide support for land closings and funding applications, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
- Gather and input data for various development projects, keeping records up-to-date.

Salary : $72,000 - $95,000
