Position Summary :
The Director of Internal Training is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal training strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and supports the firm's overall structure. This role oversees the design and delivery of innovative and high-quality training for employees across all levels and divisions, evaluates their effectiveness, and refines strategies to meet evolving needs. The Director of Internal Training plays a critical role in enhancing employee development and organizational success.
The firm has one available position in either Atlanta, GA or Portland, OR.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive internal training strategy that aligns with the organizational goals and addresses the specific needs of the firm's structure.
- Lead the design and development of engaging, innovative, and high-quality training for employees across all levels and departments throughout the firm, regularly assessing their effectiveness and adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Oversee the production for live and on-demand training courses, including development of content, design of the PowerPoint presentations and supplemental handouts and / or learning resources for internal firm training programs.
- Provide direct supervision to the Manager of Training and indirect oversight of their direct reports, ensuring alignment with the firm's training objectives.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to identify skill gaps, develop targeted solutions, and identify internal or external resources to meet identified training needs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through performance metrics, feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance their effectiveness.
- Participate as a member of the partner training committee to implement the committee's recommendations for improved training within the firm.
- Prepare and maintain the annual internal training budget as approved by the partner training committee.
- Responsible for maintaining relationships with outside training vendors and timely submission of contracts through appropriate internal approval process. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in training and development, leveraging modern learning technologies to maintain competitive and accessible programs.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development for career growth and advancement.
- Assist with other projects or requests as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Communications or related area plus 5 years of experience in training content design / delivery and 5 years of experience in accounting / finance with a minimum of 3 years being in a leadership or supervisory role or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with federal tax credit programs is preferred. Master's degree and / or CPA license preferred.
