Position: Accounting Manager
Location: Salem, OR- Onsite Monday- Friday
Pay: $95,000-$115,000
The Accounting Manager will focus on improving processes, managing performance, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting organizational growth through effective financial oversight.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and process improvement.
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Experience managing financial operations for multiple entities.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments and leadership levels.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
- High level of initiative, self-direction, and motivation.
- Must have an approved driving record, valid driver’s license, and meet insurability standards.
- Must have an approved background check.
- Must maintain a substance-free working environment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Management and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Manage the accounting team’s assignments and responsibilities.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify training opportunities and implement development programs for team members.
Process Improvement and Internal Controls:
- Regularly review current accounting processes and identify opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency.
- Implement best practices and updated procedures to enhance accuracy and streamline workflows.
- Oversee and improve Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
- Evaluate and ensure proper business controls and accounting practices are in place.
- Oversee and improve Payroll processes.
Collaborate and Cross-Company Support:
- Collaborate with general managers to analyze financial performance against projections and budgets.
- Provide insights and recommendations to adjust future forecasts and budgets.
- Support the identification, qualification, and onboarding of new entities from a financial perspective.
Strategic Support and Leadership:
- Provide financial training and guidance to organizational leaders to strengthen financial literacy and decision-making capabilities.
- Assist in planning and establishing financial priorities in alignment with company goals.
- Compile and analyze financial data to support strategic management decisions.
- Work closely with external accounting firm for accounting activities, reviews, etc.
