NOW CFO is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position with a competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 to $130,000, based on experience.
As a Senior Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and optimizing accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, expertise with ERP systems, and proven leadership skills.
This is a hybrid role that may require regular travel between San Francisco and San Jose based on business needs. Candidates should be comfortable commuting between these locations as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate all accounting activities and personnel.
- Manage general ledger, accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R), cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes.
- Develop and implement internal controls and financial policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Conduct internal audits to assess financial health and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, federal, and state regulations.
- Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and acting as the primary point of contact.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a strong team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred).
- Extensive experience in accounting management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
- Proven ability to lead and manage accounting teams effectively.
- ERP system experience is required (no specific system required, but manufacturing ERP expertise is preferred).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Public accounting background is a plus but not required.
