Warehouse Supervisor

Principal Function: The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the nightly workflow, directing warehouse staff, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supervises warehouse personnel on 2nd and 3rd shift.
• Responsible for receiving, sorting, and linehaul staging/loading in Indianapolis warehouse operations.
• Oversees linehaul staging and loading to ensure accuracy and adherence schedules.
• Checks pallets to ensure parcel sorting accuracy.
• Ensures all data scans have been reviewed and ensures that any products with missing scans products are located and received.
• Acts as the primary after-hours contact for the customer service team.
• Acts as the primary after-hours contact for warehouse operations.
• Handles customer product receiving, sorting, staging, and loading.
• Develops and implements standard operating procedures (SOPs) for warehouse sorting and ensures all team members follow them
• Manages all cross-dock work to meet customer expectations.
• Ensures that each route has all assigned library totes for next-day delivery.
• Maintains warehouse cleanliness to set up each shift for success.
• Develop and implement a new sorting system for all non-scannable products.
• Ensures that all safety procedures are practiced and followed.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D; and five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience is essential. Experience in logistics and distribution is also a requisite.

This job operates primarily in a warehouse environment with moderate safety/health hazard potential. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. This role is required to be on-site.

While the offices of company are open from 8AM to 5PM, Monday through Friday, this job will require work beyond these hours which may include weekends, holidays, and on-call status. Periodic travel may be required in-town.
