Human Resources Assistant Manager
The Assistant Manager supports the HR Manager in overseeing daily HR and administrative operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and team performance. This role involves supervising staff, handling HR-related tasks, and collaborating with executive leadership, including the CFO and COO. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Reports directly to the HR Manager and collaborates with the CFO and COO on strategic initiatives.
- Assist the HR Manager in overseeing HR operations, employee relations, and compliance matters.
- Answering phones
- Supporting staff in assigned project-based work
- Preparing and/or formatting documents and spread sheets using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Human Resources Information System and Benefit Provider websites
- Coordinating events
- General office administrative support
- Assistance to Human Resources and Accounting departments
- Tasks will require attention to detail and strong editing skills.
- Other tasks as needed
Qualifications, including but not limited to:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2 years of experience in leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Prior Human Resources experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently, interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to multi-task and to work effectively within a team
- Service-oriented and strong people skills and personable phone style
- Experience using database software for tracking information
- Quick learner with the ability to learn new programs and processes
- Willingness to be flexible
- Patience and good judgment with people
- Problem solving skills and work ethics are essential
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to work a minimum of 50 hours per week
