Key Responsibilities
- Full lifecycle development for core PHP web application.
- Play an important role in security remediation efforts for the existing PHP application, addressing identified vulnerabilities
- Implement secure coding practices and standards across the development team
- Architect and develop scalable solutions to support continued user growth
- Evaluate third-party software solutions and recommend integration opportunities where appropriate
- Collaborate with development team members to implement modern development practices
- Mentor junior developers on security-focused development techniques
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and security standards
- Develop and maintain documentation for security protocols and procedures
- 8 years of professional PHP development experience
- Experience with LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
- Proficiency with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks
- Experience scaling applications to support large user bases
- Experience in application security principles and implementation
- Knowledge of security frameworks, authentication systems, and data protection
- Evaluating value of third-party software solutions and integrating when cost/benefit outweighs in house dev.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns
