Impackt Packaging is a distribution company in Hazleton, PA looking to add a Machine Technician to our expanding team!
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
- Understanding, knowledge, and experience with packing-related equipment (i.e. stretch film machines, shrink film machines, auto baggers, case erectors, carton sealers, strapping, etc.)
- Understanding of automated packaging equipment
- Must be able to perform installations & new setups of packaging equipment
- Ability to read manuals, blueprints, drawings, and diagrams of all packaging equipment
- Must speak, read and write English
- Ability to fix, repair, service, and perform maintenance on packaging equipment
- Travel to customers to perform maintenance, service, installations, and repair
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and take corrective action for machine failures and issues
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent, trade school and or engineering degree a plus.
- 3 years of experience in conventional machining tools such as packaging machines.
- Ability to read drawings/specifications and interpret a variety of instructions whether in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Knowledge of various types of machinery & their specific functions.
- Knowledge of various machining processes and functions.
- Speak, read, and write in English.
- Demonstrate initiative & the ability to work independently.
