ELECTRO MECH TECHNICIAN 3rd Shift $30-35

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:  Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.  The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following: 

·         Reads and interprets common engineering drawings, specification documentation and machinery manuals.

·         Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and adjust electrical and mechanical equipment.

·         Basic familiarity with the requirements of the NEC (National Electrical Codes) as they pertain to the facility.

·         Performs all prescribed preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.

·         Perform basic calibration procedures on various pieces of equipment throughout the facility.

·         Troubleshoot and correct electronic instrumentation problems with devices such as thermocouples, motor tachometers, temperatures controllers, and pressure transducers.

·         Actively participates in company safety programs to include safety inspections, safety observations and JSA risk assessments as required.

·         Repairs and troubleshoots machinery and equipment used in the production of padded polystyrene trays, to include thermoforming, padding, lamination, and extrusion equipment.

·         Operates safely all related shop equipment.

·         Operates forklifts and yard equipment

·         Work must meet high standards of competent craftsmanship and professionalism in terms of quality, proficiency, efficiency, and material utilization.

·         Conducts food safety and defense self-inspections and reports on deficiencies.
