We are seeking a report engineer to support key analytics stakeholders in the creation. The purpose of this role is to ensure that data products are designed, created, and delivered in a timely manner with high quality.
The ideal candidate for the role of Report Engineer should possess a strongly experienced background in data & business analysis, Power BI report development & tool administration and related technologies such as SQL scripting, python and version control.
Principal Job Duties:
Compensation Range: $80,000 - $110,000 Base Bonus
Location: The successful candidate must live in one of the listed States: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Nevada, N.Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, S.Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington.
Due to Payroll compliance, we will be unable to hire anyone in a State not listed.
Visa sponsorship is not currently available. Only permanent residents and US citizens will be considered.

Principal Job Duties:
- Work with business stakeholders on data and reporting requirements and translate those requirements into technical solutions.
- Primary owner of resolving any issues, concerns or discrepancies in Power BI reports as identified by stakeholders.
- Perform technical research, data profiling, and testing of data assumptions in data sources and in current data products.
- Creatively provide analytic solutions that will solve business problems as it relates to the reporting environment, enabling timely and accurate analytics and explore data efficiently and quickly.
- Explain data concepts, reports, KPIs, and other technical subjects in business terms.
- Document development standards, KPI calculations, business glossary terms, table diagrams, and other subjects related to NSA data or reports.
- Cross-functional collaboration between stakeholders and data engineers to provide requirements for new dataset requests, modifications to existing ones and resolve any existing data issues.

Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent related work experience
- 3-5 years of experience in Power BI data analysis & visualizations including: collecting requirements, developing reports & dashboards, report UAT. Specifically, knowledge of DAX, Power query, semantic modeling, Dataflow and Power Automate
- Minimum of 4 years of SQL; proficient with SQL queries & performance optimization
- 2 years of Power BI Service, Data Gateway and Report Server Administration
- Experience with PowerBI for Compliance, Auditing, Data Privacy, Data Classification, Security and Controlling access to Power BI
- Have a solid understanding of how to approach the integration of problematic, disparate datasets from multiple environments with evolving requirements
- Proficient with creating, executing and interpreting results of unit tests which should include the ability to validate data quality, identify missing values or inconsistencies, ensuring data accuracy
- Basic understanding of data modeling concepts in data warehousing
- Experience with relational database systems, preferably Microsoft SQL Server
- Capable of functioning in a self-directed format, taking ownership for all aspects of assignments is required
- Excellent communication skills and ability to create and maintain documentation of Power BI reports and the administration of the platform
- Familiarity with working in Agile environments supported by JIRA, Confluence and GitHub
- Creating dimensional data models and design database objects for ease of access, performance, and consistency.
- Familiarity with python scripting specifically for data environments
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, data governance, Power BI Dataflow
- Experience creating monitoring systems, knowledge of data management techniques
