NSF is looking to hire Scientist II that have the ability to work well in a team environment. As a Scientist II you'll be responsible for performing analytical laboratory procedures and performing basic instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting. 3:00pm-11:30pm but will qualify for a 2nd 10% shift premium.

NSF is looking to hire Scientist II that have the ability to work well in a team environment. As a Scientist II you'll be responsible for performing analytical laboratory procedures and performing basic instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting. 3:00pm-11:30pm but will qualify for a 2nd 10% shift premium.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine tests using LCMSMS to support standard 60/61 including sample preparation, media preparation, sample processing, data entry, data analysis, data peer review, and data reporting
- Independently perform troubleshooting and maintenance of various LCMS instruments and methods in the water testing area.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members in delivering data of results on time. Maintain a high level of productivity.
- Participate in the improvement of the existing methods, development, and validation of new methods for expanding the test capability to support business expansion.
- Provide a high level of data quality by keeping traceability records for equipment maintenance, non-conformance, method modification, and standard deviations.
- Engage in cross-functional discussions in failure resolutions and, prepare and provide supporting data for lab investigation and/or QA data review.
- Evaluate and develop laboratory processes, procedures and perform maintenance/selection of instrumentation
- Set a plan for training junior analysts to develop their judgment skills.
- 4 years science degree.
- Minimum years of analytical lab experience: 5-8 years
- Hands-on experience in operating the LCMS instrument
- Good communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate NSF core values and ethics
- Ability to safely handle chemicals
- Knowledge of troubleshooting principles.
