NSF is in search of a Technician II in the Extractions Lab.
The Technician II will need to have basic lab skills and an aptitude for understanding and using machines or tools. Lab experience a plus. Great entry-level position to learn about product certification work and to start a career in the sciences for a mission driven company.
Responsibilities
Principal Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform laboratory procedures following defined processes and standard operating procedures to support product certification.
- Technician will be involved in extraction of water samples to prepare them for analytical analysis.
- Follow quality and documentation requirements for all laboratory work.
- Properly maintain required laboratory equipment.
- Safe lab practices working and strong attention to detail.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED required plus laboratory experience and/or college level laboratory coursework;
- AAS degree is a plus
- 1 to 5 years of related experience
- Knowledge of standard lab procedures (use of balances, pipets, etc).
- Able to work well in a production team environment
- Mechanical aptitude to work with water system components
