Salary Range: $27/hour - $41/hour

The Maintenance Mechanic Lead's primary function is to supply leadership to the maintenance and Tool and Die department.
- Ensure implementation of Company safety, health, and environmental programs for employees whose work is directed. Ensure that safe work practices are followed, and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations.
- Commitment to the Company’s policies, principles, and procedures and adheres the Company’s procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety (“EH&S”), Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”), discipline/corrective action, and security.
- Must follow directions from Manager(s).
- Inspect facilities and all production machines periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance requirements.
- Prepare weekly machine maintenance schedules and allocate work to maintenance team members.
- Lead outside tradesman as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts, materials and tools needed and report to manager(s).
- Ensure tasks delegated by manager(s) are carried out and to verify processes are being done correctly through the shift.
- Assist production operators with machines and processes when necessary.
- Ensure PPE standards are being adhered to and perform checklist duties daily.
- Handling assorted projects when tasked.
- Communicate any issues that arise effectively to manager(s)
- Ensure Safe operation of machines by all employees while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Back up to Maintenance manager as needed.
- Math skills
- Ability to operate material handling and tools required to perform tasks.
- Must be flexible – OT and weekend are required as needed.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent trade school
- Minimum of 5-7 years manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate a forklift and or material handling equipment 2-3 years
- Must be in good physical condition.
- Must be able to stand and/or bend for long periods of time (Varied based on daily tasks)
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
