Setup Team Member – Quality
NSK Corporation is looking for a Setup for the Quality Department. The purpose of this position is to provide the lead for Quality defect investigations, Auditing, Data collection and analysis, and support to the shop floor. Must be able to perform quality checks utilizing appropriate gauges and other quality measurement devices. Performs audits on the shop floor and assists in training where needed. Must be able to work directly with Shift supervisors and Engineers during Quality activities supporting the shop floor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for the Abnormal Product Control system as described in the Franklin Plant Standard including investigating, inspecting, and containing all defects discovered on the shop floor and/or reported in a Prompt Report.
Must work directly with Shift supervisors, Technical support, and Engineers to manage all Quality activities on the shop floor.
Must understand traceability system, shop floor processes, abnormal product control system procedures, and various gauging techniques.
Responsible for completing all change-over qualifications.
Responsible for helping with all aspects of sorting including setting up gauges, training on sort method, and supervising when necessary.
Provides support to all new projects when any kind of data collection is needed. (i.e., line qualifications, PPAP’s, etc.)
Responsible for helping to keep the prompt reports organized, maintained, and logged.
Maintains the metrology equipment in the Quality Lab including all measuring equipment, gauges, gauge stands, SOP’s, and check sheets.
Assists with annual layouts, Product and Process audits, and QMS audits including participating in Internal and External IATF audits as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must not have an absenteeism rate > 3% and not be in any current step of disciplinary action.
Must be able to work and cooperate fully with the production department leaders and team members when investigating an abnormal product.
Team member is responsible for 5S in designated work area(s).
Must be able to work under limited supervision.
Participate in all necessary visitor activities to include presentations, cleaning, etc.
Computer skills including Quickbase, PYT, Microsoft Excel
