What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oven Operator - KC position at NSP?
SUMMARY
This position is an important part of the operations team. This position will be assigned responsibilities primarily in operations. This position will perform cook operations and assist the operations management as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effectively read and understand all cooking programs and set cook charts.
- Operate the smoke box and learn when/how to use the grease pump properly.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the chill room.
- Assisting production manager with cook schedules.
- Back up / weekend cook as needed.
- Other ad-hoc duties as directed by the Operations Leader or General Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Maintenance of food equipment
Commercial cook operations
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
MATHEMATICAL/FINANCIAL SKILLS:
Basic math skills – able to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Capable of working with percentages
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply disciplined knowledge to analyze and resolve problems.
Ability to reason with employees and resolve issues.

Full time regular position that works Monday through Friday and weekends as needed, generally 8 hours per day, with some overtime. Travel is between 0% and 10% this position.
