Current Opening :

Position : Quality Inspector

Shifts : 3rd Shift

Pay Range : $19.00

Shift Premium : $3.00 - 3rd Shift

Quality Inspector Responsibilities :

As a Quality Inspector, you will assist in testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process :

Select products for tests at specified stages in the production process
Tests products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics
Records test data
Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards
Quarantines non-conforming material by tagging and writing reports
Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics

Skills and Abilities :

To thrive in this role, you should possess :

Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safety, health, and environment protection practices within the workplace.

Able to consistently meet job attendance requirements.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers.

Arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.

Education and / or Experience :

High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements :

Regularly stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear

Able to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting or standing

Use hands and arms in handling, positioning, and moving materials and things

Capacity to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects

Regularly lift and / or move up to 15 pounds, frequently lift and / or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds

Able to see details at a distance or at close range (a few feet)

Ability to judge which of several objects is closer or farther away, and judge the distance between you and an object
