Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Truck billing, scanning loads, preparing loads for shipments, cycle counts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Responsible for 5S
  • Complete BOL's either by using an RF scanner or filling out a Manual BOL
  • Greet drivers at the drivers gate and check paperwork to verify delivery location
  • Communicate to dock drivers of trailers that need a dock door to be off-loaded
  • Communicate to dock drivers if they are reloading
  • Mark product if there are any discrepancies or quality issues
  • Get counts on empty returnable totes that are shipped out LTL
  • Update board with truck / trailer / dock info
  • Any other duties assigned by team leader, supervisor or manager

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES :

  • Excellent verbal & written communications skills
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to multitask
  • Organizational skills
  • Previous office experience preferred
  • Capable of learning various software and good basic computer skills
  • High School Diploma

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Lifting & Carrying : Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move materials.
  • Standing / Walking : Long periods of standing or walking.
  • Manual Dexterity : Using tools like pallet jacks, and handling packages.
  • Stamina : Endurance for extended physical activity.
  • Vision : Clear vision for reading labels and inspecting items.

    • MENTAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Attention to Detail : Ensuring accuracy in shipments and documentation.
  • Organization : Managing inventory and shipping schedules.
  • Problem-Solving : Addressing shipping or inventory issues.
  • Time Management : Meeting tight deadlines.
  • Communication : Clear interaction with team members and customers.
