JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Team Leader oversees, monitors, and coordinates production team activities, giving importance to individual members and overall team's achievement of established goals. Ensures teams goal is aligned with and representative of the overall company's directive. Acts as a liaison between team members and the rest of the organization. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Typically reports to a manager or supervisor and assumes supervisory duties in their absence. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain time and production records
- Responsible for the JD Edwards system
- Read standards
- Run lines as needed
- Assist with investigating quality issues (5-Why)
- Check under machine for things that should not be there (parts or components)
- Check all emergency stop buttons
- Check the set-up
- Assigned work area will be cleaned and kept neat and orderly during every workday
- Will recognize and comply with all safety rules
- Will work overtime as requested by supervisor or scheduled
- Floors swept and mopped (within reason)
- Machines wiped down (within reason)
- Ensure machines running at shift change
- Paperwork completed (to include down time)
- Any other duties assigned by manager
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:
- Previous experience with supervision, set-up or training preferred
- 2-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with gauging instruments
- Excellent verbal & written communications skills
- Good problem solving skills
- Knowledge of QS9000 standards
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations
- High School Diploma
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
