What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Crib Attendant - West - 2nd shift position at NTN Driveshaft, Inc?
Tool Crib Attendants work in the Tool Crib and complete the following duties: issuing tools to operators, maintaining inventories, restocking tooling, collecting tooling from production personnel, ensuring a safe working area, maintaining accurate records, and supporting repair-tooling processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Find items using JD Edwards System (inventory control software). Issue those items from the tool crib by entering those transactions into the JD Edwards system
- Maintain Production Tooling Boxes (PTB) as required
- Maintain budget track spreadsheet in MS Excel
- Cycle count items and enter corrections
- Answer calls from production for maintenance work orders
- Enter maintenance work orders into MP2
- Call out emergency work orders on maintenance radio
- Clean and Organize tool crib
- Miscellaneous tasks as required
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:
- Must have a minimum of 1 years' experience in the trade
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- General manufacturing experience
- Computer Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office preferred
- Must be organized and detail orientated
- Willingness to learn and change with new system
- Attention to detail
- Good Communication Skills
- Ability to Multi-task
- Good handwriting skills
- Some heavy lifting
- Able to sit, kneel, squat or bend, for long lengths of times
- Able to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly if necessary
- Able to use common hand tools, and or power tools
- Able to operate man lifts
- Setup and climb ladders
Able to grasp and manipulate small objects such as screws, rivets, wire terminals, etc.
Requirements:PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift and carry tools/materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- Good hand-eye coordination for tool handling and inventory management.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Attention to detail for tracking and organizing tools.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with workers and supervisors.
- Basic math skills for inventory and tool count.
