Job Summary
National Bank of Coxsackie is looking for individuals with strong mathematical skills who enjoy interacting with customers. A Teller is responsible for conducting customer transactions behind the teller line while delivering outstanding customer service. They will be responsible for answering the phones at the Branch and properly maintaining their drawer throughout the day. Initially, a teller will need to be available to work at any of our branch locations until being permanently placed.
The general responsibilities of the position, which are all completed within the framework of Bank policies and procedures, are:
- Handle all normal teller duties and customer transactions. Example: deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, account questions, etc;
- Properly respond to customer inquiries regarding their accounts and/or bank products;
- Maintain money supply at window in accordance with accepted dollar levels;
- Overtime, learn to scan and encode their work daily;
- With experience, fill-in for Head Teller absences;
- Handle various assigned functions behind the teller line;
- Assignment at any of our 8 branch locations;
- Deliver exceptional customer service;
- Any other duties deemed necessary by management;
- You will be required to work a minimum of two - three Saturdays per month or as needed.
Background Requirements
- High-School diploma or equivalent educational background;
- Strong mathematical skills;
- Cash handling and customer service experience preferred;
- Outgoing personality;
- Ability to work collaboratively with all bank staff;
- Experience maintaining confidential information;
- Must have own reliable transportation and be able to work at any assignable location.
